Logical and Non-verbal Reasoning: name the type, find the move
A skills course for the reasoning questions that aptitude, entrance and employment tests share: deduction, data sufficiency, puzzles, syllogisms, order, figures, space, codes and relations. Every option is explained, and every wrong answer names the slip behind it.
Enrolment is reviewed by our team and opened by hand, so every learner gets set up properly.
original questions, every option explained
What makes this course different
Reasoning questions look new every time, but they come in a few families. This course teaches you to name the family and use its move.

Name the type first
Unit 1 tours every kind of question and shows where each one is tested. Naming the type in the first few seconds tells you which method to use, so the time goes on the method.
Know the questionEvery option explained, every slip named
Guided sets explain every option. Each wrong option names the slip behind it, such as a rule run backwards, a left and right mix-up or a case not tested, so you see the mistake behind the mistake.
Wrong answers teachAnswers checked twice
Every answer is worked out by code and re-derived by a second solver. Puzzles are proved to have exactly one answer, and figure questions are drawn and checked at phone width as well as on a desktop.
Built to be right
Prove it against the clock
Each unit has a timed set, a checkpoint, a sprint and a boss. Three full mocks give 40 questions in 50 minutes with no negative marking, so you practise answering every question.
Timed sets and mocksPractice at five levels
After the units, ten Extended practice sections cover the same subjects at Foundation, Core, Advanced, Stretch and Puzzle level, so you can climb at your own pace.
Extended practice
Lessons with pictures and a principle
Each unit has a lesson pack of short lessons with a drawn picture, quick quizzes and answers at the back. Most lessons end on the principle to remember and the trap to avoid.
Learn the moveFollow the test you care about
Unit 1 ends with a plan: which units to do first for GMAT, GRE, LSAT, UCAT, employer tests or school selection tests. These are examples of where this kind of reasoning appears, not a promise about any exam.
Match your own testOriginal questions, unlimited tries
Every question is original and written for this course. Every set can be repeated as many times as you like, and your progress is tracked in the LMS.
Independent practiceTry free sample tests
No sign-up needed. Real questions from this course, with a reason for every answer.
Deduction: what must be true
Twelve guided questions from easy to hard on groups and if-then rules. Feedback after each answer and a reason for every option.
Start this sample →Figures: one feature at a time
Twelve guided questions on figure series and the first grids, each with drawn figures. Read one feature at a time and see the rule behind every answer.
Start this sample →Name the type: ten kinds of reasoning question
Ten quick questions, one of each kind of reasoning question in the course. Name the type, answer, and see why every option is right or wrong.
Start this sample →Twelve units, twelve moves
Each unit teaches one move you can use on the day.
Who this course is for
Students and professionals preparing for tests that ask reasoning questions: admissions, graduate and employer aptitude tests, and school selection tests. It starts from the beginning and climbs to hard puzzles.
Prepspire is independent. This course is not an official product of any test body and is not connected to any of the tests named as examples. Every question is original, and nothing here predicts what you would score.
