About Prepspire

What is Prepspire?

Prepspire is an online learning site for English-language exams and skills. It has full exam courses, short skill courses, free taster courses, games and practice tools. You study on your own schedule, with practice, explanations and, on some courses, AI marking of your writing and speaking.

Who is Prepspire for?

It is for learners who want to prepare for an English exam (for study, work or migration), improve everyday and workplace English, or practise aptitude skills such as verbal ability. Most courses work for self-study learners at any pace.

Which exams does Prepspire cover?

IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, PTE Academic, PTE Core, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, TOEIC, OET and TOLES. See all exams at prepspire.com/exams. Each exam has its own page, for example prepspire.com/exams/ielts-academic.

Which skill courses does Prepspire offer?

Language and Communication Skills: English Refresher, Advanced English, Accent Training (Clearer International English), Vocabulary 101, Interview English and Business Writing. Test skills: Verbal Ability and Reasoning. Enrolment for these is opening soon.

Where can I learn more about how Prepspire teaches?

Read The Prepspire Method on the blog: blog.prepspire.com/category/prepspire-method. It explains the approach in plain language.

Do you have a blog or free articles?

Yes. The Prepspire Blog (blog.prepspire.com) and the free Knowledge Base (prepspire.com/knowledge-base) have guides, tips and exam explanations. Both are free for everyone.

Free things to try

Can I try Prepspire for free?

Yes. There are free taster courses for each exam and a free trial of English Refresher. Open "Try free" in the Resources menu, or go to prepspire.com/free-taster-courses.

What is a free taster course?

A short, real piece of the full course: a few lessons, practice and a sample of how marking works. It shows you exactly how studying with Prepspire feels before you decide. Each exam has its own taster.

Do I have to sign up for a free taster?

Yes, the taster platform needs a free account so it can save your progress. You can sign up on the taster page or ask for the taster by email.

Are there samples I can try without signing up?

Yes. The Free Samples page (prepspire.com/free-samples) has no-sign-up practice samples. IELTS Reading, Listening and Speaking samples are live now; more exams are being added.

Are there free games?

Yes. Spelling Sprint is free for everyone, and Prepspire students also get Learning Games, Interactive Activities and Audio Practice. See the Resources menu.

Will the free taster take my details for marketing?

The newsletter is optional. The consent box is unticked by default, so you only get newsletters if you choose to.

Enrolment and access

How do I enrol in a course?

Full courses are enrolled by the Prepspire team, not through open self sign-up. Start with a free taster, then contact us at prepspire.com/contact and we will enrol you.

Can I enrol myself?

Full courses do not have self-enrolment. Prepspire enrols you after you choose your course. Free tasters are the exception: you can start those yourself.

How do I log in to my course?

Courses run on the Prepspire LMS at lms.prepspire.com. Log in with the email and password you were given, or use "Forgot password" on the login page. If you are logged in on prepspire.com, the course links take you straight in.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

On the login page choose "Forgot password" and follow the email link. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us.

I enrolled but I cannot see my course.

Log out and in again, and check you are using the same email you enrolled with. If it is still missing, contact us at prepspire.com/contact with your name and the course name.

Can I use Prepspire on my phone?

Yes. Courses work in a modern browser on phone, tablet or computer. Speaking tasks need a microphone and a browser that allows it.

How the exam courses work

What is inside an exam course?

Typically a learning path (lessons and explanations), practice for each skill, full mock tests, and answer explanations. Writing and speaking tasks can be marked with premium marking. The exact parts differ by exam.

Will the course guarantee my score?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee an exam result. Prepspire gives you structured practice, explanations and feedback so you improve; your result depends on your practice and on exam day.

How do I know which course level is right for me?

Try the free taster for your exam first. If you are unsure of your level, contact us and we will suggest where to start.

How long does it take to prepare?

It depends on your starting level and target score. Many learners study a few hours a week over several weeks or months. A realistic plan is better than a promised number of days.

Do the mock tests look like the real exam?

They follow the real exam's format and task types. Each exam has its own scoring and feedback, so IELTS tasks are scored the IELTS way and PTE tasks the PTE way.

Do you explain wrong answers?

Yes. Scored questions come with an explanation of why the right answer is right and why the other options are not.

Is Prepspire connected to IELTS, Pearson, ETS or the other exam owners?

No. Prepspire is an independent preparation provider. Exam names belong to their owners and are used only to say which test a course prepares you for.

Premium marking

What is premium marking?

Premium marking gives you detailed feedback and a score estimate on your writing and speaking, using Prepspire's AI marking built for each exam. You submit your answer in the course and get feedback inside it.

Is premium marking the same for every exam?

No. Each exam has its own scoring, marking and feedback wording, so feedback matches that exam's own criteria.

Are there deadlines for premium marking?

No. Premium marking assignments have no due dates. Submitting is voluntary, so you can do it when you are ready.

How long does marking take?

Writing is usually back quickly. Speaking waits in a shared queue, so it can take longer at busy times.

Is the AI score the same as the real exam score?

It is an estimate to guide your practice, not an official result. Use the feedback to improve, not as a prediction.

How do I submit a speaking answer?

Use the in-page "Submit to Moodle" step in the speaking task. You do not need to download and upload a recording yourself. Allow microphone access when your browser asks.

Skill courses

What is the English Refresher?

A course that takes you from about B1 to B2 English, with 12 units, a "Go further" strand, word banks, level checks and a final writing task with premium marking. There is a free trial: prepspire.com/free-taster-courses.

What is Accent Training: Clearer International English?

A hands-on course to make your English clearer for international listeners, with listening, repeating and recording practice across 12 units. It is for clarity, not for losing your own accent.

What is Interview English?

A course for job interviews in English: ten units, from introductions to difficult questions, with mock interview boards you answer by speaking. Enrolment is opening soon.

What is Business Writing?

A course on professional writing with templates for many document types.
